ESG Initiatives at Comwell Hotels

Comwell’s ESG work encompasses a range of initiatives related to the environment, social matters and corporate governance.

All Comwell hotels and venues in Denmark are Green Key certified.

Comwell Hotels’ greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been validated by SBTi Services in accordance with the relevant criteria of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

At the hotels, these initiatives include monitoring energy data, sorting waste for recycling and measuring food waste. Comwell also purchases Danish products and seasonal ingredients whenever possible.

All Comwell hotels in Denmark have been awarded the bronze Organic Cuisine Label. This means that 30–60% of the food and beverages purchased are organic.

Comwell’s ESG work also includes initiatives related to employee well-being and training, as well as partnerships with organisations including the Danish Smilfonden and the Danish Julemærkefonden. Comwell’s requirements for suppliers are set out in the company’s Supplier Code of Conduct.
