Green Key to Coco Hotel – A new hotel by Cofoco a sustainable chain of restaurants

The new hotel Coco Hotel in central Copenhagen has been awarded with Green Key. Behind Coco Hotel is a chain of restaurants, that is build on a sustainable foundation.

Cofoco has a selection of 12 restaurants in Copenhagen all with unique concepts and cuisines. Sustainable efforts as well as animal welfare is becoming a vital part of their daily business.

Cofoco added a new branch to their business with the opening of hotel Coco, in the trendy area of Copenhagen, Vesterbro. Coco (a tribute to the face and founder of Chanel) has 90 rooms and the building has been completely renovated for the occasion.

The hotel fulfills all the mandatory criteria of Green Key and approximately 70% of the point criteria. This greatly surpasses the requirements for Green Key certification.

Café Coco mainly serves organic products, and plastic bottles are not to be found in the minibar. All towels and bed linen are made from organic cotton. The building has all new energy – and water efficient facilities and like the Cofoco restaurants, the hotel is also supplied with renewable energy from the solar panel park.
