Hotel Vejlefjord receives Green Key
The staff has been at the forefront of help and ideas when the iconic Hotel Vejlefjord applied for the Green Key - and now they have received the reward. The Green Keys Jury agreed that the hotel's current efforts and plans for future activities have made Hotel Vejlefjord eligible for this certification.
It makes good sense to work with environmental and nature protection for the hotel, which is located by forest and down to the fjord by Vejle.
Fresh air and exercise were important elements in the treatment of tuberculosis patients, and therefore in 1901 the large park was laid out in a romantic landscape style with bridges, streams and lakes in the strongly hilly landscape right down to Vejle fjord.
The green areas now benefit the hotel's guests, and with Green Key they can see that the hotel is making a targeted effort to take care of these surroundings.
